Defiance HS will be administering the 'Ohio State Tests' from April 10 through May 9.  Students in grades 9-12 can take courses during different academic years; therefore students will take the listed End-Of-Course assessments the school year they are enrolled in during the specific course.  The required state tests include:  English Language Arts II, Algebra, Geometry, Biology, American History, and American Government.

The Class of 2024 will graduate on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 2:00.  Upcoming graduates are reminded to complete their course work to meet the graduation requirements, pay their outstanding fees to receive their diploma, and tie up all loose ends before their last day of school, Wednesday, May 22, 2024.  Attached is a letter to the Class of 2024 to use for their upcoming events with dates.  Senior 24.pdf

All absences must be reported to the high school office no later than 8:30 am.  To report an absence, parents or legal guardians must call 419-784-2777.  All absences must have documentation from/for an appointment, visit, vacation, or other.

 

Failure to report absences will result in 'unexcused absences' in which:

1.) Students are not permitted to make up missing school work,

2.) May be issued disciplinary consequences,

3.) May result in criminal charges.
